Apparel Marker Making
Arrange garment pattern pieces on fabric width to minimize fabric use.

Placing garment pattern pieces across a fabric width so the marker (the cut layout) uses as little fabric as possible. The overlap-free placement core is identical to other nesting problems; the distinguishing side constraints are:
- Grain line — pieces must align to the fabric warp/weft, often locking or restricting rotation
- Pattern / stripe matching — for checked or directional fabrics
- Bundling across multiple garment sizes
